“The click-through rate for online ads jumped to 1.31% worldwide in Q3, an increase of 12% from Q3 2011, but the per-click price advertisers were willing to pay dropped a penny to 46 cents, says a study.

A year ago, online advertisements had a click-through rate of 1.17% and a cost-per-click rate of 47 cents, according to a report out Thursday by Israel-based digital marketing firm Kenshoo.”
